NPS-triggered review requests
Asking for a public review (G2, Capterra…) right after a positive NPS response.
An automated trigger that asks a customer for a public review immediately after they give a high NPS score, instead of asking everyone on a fixed schedule regardless of sentiment.
Why this ring
Cheap, and it improves social proof for high-intent evaluators researching the category; the main variable to get right is timing, not tooling.
SaaS fit
Works across B2B and B2C SaaS.
How to apply it
When to apply: You already run NPS/CSAT on a regular cadence and the product is listed on a relevant review platform (G2, Capterra…).
First steps: Automate the review ask immediately after a promoter-level NPS response (typically 9–10), not to the whole base, with a direct link straight into the review form — and route by platform/segment rather than sending everyone to the same place.
Pitfalls: Asking for a review regardless of sentiment risks asking an unhappy customer too, and getting a public negative review back for the trouble; note that G2 and Capterra explicitly prohibit incentivized reviews.
Metrics to watch: New reviews per month, average score, and the share of promoters who actually follow through and write one.
